A cozy mystery novel that I can escape into
My Interests
Industrial engineering, data modelling, patient partnership, design thinking, project management, mixed methods research
How did I get here?
I have always appreciated efficiencies and system thinking and after personal experiences in the health system, I was drawn to the health services space and improving patient experiences. I was lucky enough to do a post-doc at OpenLab’s predecessor, The Centre for Innovation in Complex Care, where I had the opportunity to work on all types of projects in addition to my post-doc work studying the unscheduled health system utilization of chronic kidney disease patients. I have been at OpenLab ever since.
My Training and Experience
I completed my BASc, MASc, and PhD in Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto and subsequent post-doctoral fellowships in Health Policy and Management at York University
My Achievements
My biggest achievement project-wise was leading the Patient Oriented Discharge Summary project from design, through implementation, spread and scale.
