How did I get here?
After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Sexuality, Marriage, and Family, I found myself increasingly drawn to issues of equity, oppression, and inclusion. Following a period of travel, I began my career as a front-line worker in Vancouver’s downtown eastside, where I engaged with marginalized communities within the non-profit sector. Upon returning to Ontario, I continued my journey in front-line work, finding fulfillment and joy in supporting diverse populations. Eventually, I decided to shift from front-line work and into a position that would allow me to focus on advancing health equity and fostering sustainable solutions, leading me to my position at OpenLab.
