How did I get here?
Through a series of happy turns. After returning to complete my PhD in neuroscience, I figured out that I wanted to work with community. I wanted to work specifically with older adults in a way that involved creativity, service, and intellectual curiosity. I lead a few community-based and arts-based research initiatives over the years working with persons with dementia. While at UHN’s Dotsa Bitove Wellness Academy, I was introduced to the creative and multi-disciplinary work of OpenLab. Several months (maybe years?) and many inspiring conversations later, I enthusiastically accepted an invitation to join this dynamic collaborative, working with older adults in the NORC Ambassador Program.
My Achievements
