What’s close to my heart?

Spending time in nature with people I love, listening to a juicy story, watching the steam rise from my coffee.

My Interests

I am excited about human-centred design, strategic planning and communications, community building.

How did I get here?

I have a Bachelor of Journalism. I was lucky to spend the start of my career listening to stories and sharing them in multimedia ways. I went back to school to get a Masters in Urban Planning, and began to focus on designing processes for including a diversity of people in decisions about their cities and communities.

I’m so happy to have landed at OpenLab’s NORC Innovation Centre, where my passions for urban environments, participatory design, storytelling and community building come together!

My Achievements

I have been published by outlets including the CBC, The Globe and Mail, The Discourse, and CANADALAND, and worked on co-design initiatives across Canada’s public and private sectors. I’m most proud of the work I’ve done that has the most local impact, including working with my neighbours on mutual aid and participatory planning initiatives in my neighbourhood, Parkdale.
