OpenLab is looking for 6 individuals with living/lived experience of drug use and who reside in supportive housing to join our community advisory committee for our Overdose Response Network project.

The Overdose Response Project is a mobile app connecting people who use drugs alone with peers who can respond to overdose alerts with naloxone. It strives to take the benefits of a safe consumption site virtual. We seek to have a collaborative and community-driven approach to creating and rolling out this app. After running a successful feasibility test in the summer of 2022, we received funding from Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) to build a full-scale version of the app. As this idea evolves, we believe it is imperative to engage the community of people who use drugs through an Advisory Committee who will provide key input and help co-create the app and our approach to piloting it.

Members of our Advisory Committee will be asked to attend monthly meetings and commit to this project for one year. Meetings will be approximately an hour and a half. Committee members will be paid $50 per meeting for their contributions.

If you are interested in joining this Advisory Committee, please call us at +1 (833) 339-8661 or fill out our Google Form.
